Hi All,
I'm trying to use the SwapAliasWithPrincipalName in the }Clients dimension to replace the users with a new namespace USER ID that we will be using.
So to do this, I followed the below steps
With Intergrated login mode as 1,
1) Created the new Alias and populated with the new names for all users
2) Ran a TI with SwapAliasWithPrincipalName('}Clients','NEW ALias',0);
3) Restarted the server.
But after restarting, i noticed that the other attributes set for the Clients Dimension were all removed. However,the data in the Client Groups, Client Settings cube were all still there.
Just for testing, i did the same for a dummy test dimension and after replacing with the new alias the attributes all remained, also the data in the cube which had the dummy test dimension.
I'm wondering why the }Client Dimension Attributes are removed,is it because I'm doing anything wrong? Please advise.
Thanks,
Chuks

Re: SwapAlias in Dimension
I have found that you need to dirty the cube before restarting. Have not done this for a while and never on }Clients so YMMV.
