Tm1 Server Issues

Post by DYNA »

Hi guys,

With regards to the Tm1 Server, I've been experiencing issues as of late.

Once the Tm1 server has been restarted, it runs fine for a while in which we can submit, approve, and reject.

However, when we open the Dashboards on PAW, it doesn't tend to load, in which the application also stops running. So we have to go back and restart the servers, and the tm1 servers, which as you know, is time consuming.

What could be the cause to this issue?

We have many Tm1 Servers on the same server, but the other servers are stopped whilst this server is running.

Thank you

Sorry, but this is very ambiguous request for assistance.

1. What do Windows (or Linux) server logs, PA and it's clients server logs say?
2. What are the server specs? RAM? Disk Size?

3.
Once the Tm1 server has been restarted, it runs fine for a while in which we can submit, approve, and reject.
- I am assuming TI processes run? Is there some heavy lifting in those processes that can cause a memory spike?

4.
So we have to go back and restart the servers, and the tm1 servers, which as you know, is time consuming.
- So it's time consuming, therefore the model must be big in size, which reverts me back to the 2nd question. Are you running out of memory ? Disk space?

Thanks

Hi guys,

The problem lies with one of our processes which we were executing. We have managed to optimize the process to run in a much efficient way possible.

We are working with a huge amount of data, so by executing a process which works a large amount of data, it tends to slow down the server response time, well, depends on how you write the process.

Saying that, it will be much efficient to have your correct parameters in place, as well as having your process interact with only the elements affected.
