Hello,
Has anyone seen this problem before?
Problem description
2 users (out of around 70) who, when they use the Slice to Excel functionality, Excel creates a worksheet (called something like ASO followed by a number, sorry, don't have a screenshot), but then the Excel screen goes completely white, freezes and has to be killed. We have checked the Ignore Other Applications setting and this is set corrrectly.
The environment uses roaming profiles, which have been deleted and recreated for these users with no effect.
One of the users can log on to other machines with his own profile and can use Slices, the other can not even do this. Other users can create slices from the same views.
TM1 version 9.0 SP3 U9, Excel 2003
Any thoughts.
Thanks in advance
Herman

Re: Excel Slice/Snapshot problem
Herman,
Have you tried changing the slice settings so they slice in to a current work book. Also which version of Excel are they using? We uased to have random errors like this but since we upgraded up to excel 2003 they have become more rare,
Jim.

Re: Excel Slice/Snapshot problem
Jim,
The users are using Excel 2003. I will give your suggestion a try with the slicing to a current workbook.
Thanks

Re: Excel Slice/Snapshot problem
Jim,
Once the users sliced to a current workbook the problem is solved.
Very odd bug.
Thanks for the assistance.
