Cube Optimization and Rules

I have a question regarding Cube Optimization for TM1 9.1Sp2

Yesterday I optimized a cube used in our planning process that has several rules that do simple calculations for users.
The cube had seven dimensions with the last dimension containing string elements.
In the optimization process I reordered the cost center and account dimensions, which do not contain string elements.
I received a benefit of about 10% in the optimization but unfortunately the rules all stopped working.
I de-optimized the cube unloaded and reloaded and the rules began working again.
I played around with the optimization and it does appear that it is the cause of the rules breaking but I don't know why.
Best guess I have is that it would related to feeders maybe?

Thanks

Hi cbergen,

There are several options as to what is happening.

1. It's not possible to re-order string cubes, I vaguely remember something like this but I could be wrong.
2. You're moving the string dimension from the last position.
3. Bugged release

None of which helps very much! In the normal course of events reordering a data (numbers only) cube should not impact rules or feeders.

Cheers,

I don't remember what service pack of 9.1 we were on, but the optimization DID allow you to move dimensions with string elements to to a position other then the last spot. When I went to 9.4 the optimization was corrected and forced me to reorder the dimensions so the strings were last. We did not experience the rule issue that you did, but it will allow you to improperly order your cube.

We were only on SP 1 and SP 2 of 9.1 but I don't remember what release I was on at the time.
