Drill down in only a row
Hello guys,
I have this cube, and the customer would like to drill down into the Dimension Document, however, he wants to drill down into a consolidation, but that this does not occur with the same consolidation in other lines.
For example, in image one we have the data that the user uses in his analyzes.
But in image two, when he clicked on (+) the Drill Down of a consolidation, it all opened.
How do I open just the one that he clicks on?

Re: Drill down in only a row
In architect/perspectives/tm1 web you can’t drill down on only 1 instance of an element that appears multiple times in a nested dimension.
If they are on PA this is something that can be achieved in the new interfaces such as workspace cube views.

Hopefully this is test data you have posted? Many of our customers would object to having their results posted in public forums, even if its not-obvious what the numbers are.

Hi,
maybe my quastion should be a new topic, but it highly related to this one.
How can I achieve the old Architect-behaviour in a PAW cube view? By default, a consolidation is just extended in the row I click. What if I want to extend it in all rows?

Re: Drill down in only a row
You have chosen to wake up quite an old thread. Short answer, you can't. PAW only does asymetric drill-down. In general I think this is actually a good thing. In most cases it is what the end user wants.

Job 1:21 in case you want to know, not the Apple guy. (I had to look this up, just in case anyone gets ideas about my detailed knowledge of scripture!)the Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away
This kind of thing should be configurable and left in the hands of the user.
It's massive assumption and generalisation to say "most users want it to behave this way", IMO of course...

Re: Drill down in only a row
Maybe not the most elegant option but works with two clicks:
- Right click in the header area above the first element
- Navigate to Level options then select the highest number i.e. expand to that level for all items.

Re: Drill down in only a row
FWIW I agree. Ideally there should be a toggle in the row dimensions area for symetric vs asymetric drill-down. As a user this is what I would want. But if I have to choose between one and the other then I would take asymetric. The way it used to work has always been a pain drilling down everywhere when you only wanted to see where you clicked.Steve Rowe wrote: ↑Tue Nov 29, 2022 2:47 pm This kind of thing should be configurable and left in the hands of the user.
