using alias address for accessing executive viewer & tm1 web

Hi all ,

In my company the bussiness wants to add some meaningful alias names instead of the Executive viewer server address :

For example instead of accessing the address http://servername/EVServer?ToolBar=true ... eme=Cognos

they want to put some alias name and access the website as http ://Reporting_services_cognos/EVserver?ToolBar=true&TabBar=True&Theme=Cognos.

I dont know what has to be changed for this.

Can anyone help me on this by sending document or the steps to be followed ?

I got IT to do this once about 2 years ago for TM1 Web...it worked all sweet except that the users could not copy to excel.
