Hello all

I have set up the full Fishcakes International model that you find in the Rules guide, using the rules in the guide. In the Production cube on any given day, the Production Costs/Kg are equal for all fishcakes. Is this normal?

As fishcakes are made up of different fish types with different costs per kg, that seems very strange. Did someone have this as well? I tested with a production of 100 kg Poseidon's Platter and 50 kg of Ancient Mariner on January 31. Production Costs/Kg is $121,38 in both cases. For other numbers, cost/kg are equal too.

Also, I noticed that some of the screenshots in the guide wrong (e.g. the Inventory cube screenshot on page 113). True?

I wouldn't rely on the docs. There are mistakes in it. For example in tm1_rules_guide_en_9_4.pdf
regarding the order of rules it says on p. 229:
"Recall that rules statements should always be ordered most-restrictive to least-restrictive according to area definition."

and on p.132 of tm1_developers_guide_en_9_4.pdf it says:
"If you have multiple rules statements that address the same area, you should order them least-restrictive to most-restrictive."

So fish is fish...

That is so obviously hogwash that I just had to satisfy my curiosity and go check and golly you are right. In the 9.4 MR1 developers guide I found this exact same and obviously wrong statement (on p61. in Chapter 3: Advanced Calculations for Business Data.)

At least in the rules guide in 9.4 MR1 they got it right "Note how the rule for ['6','Required'] comes before the rule for ['Required']. This is in keeping with the practice of placing rules statements in order from most-restrictive area definition to least-restrictive area definition." (very fittingly on p. 101)

Not sure what's up with the discrepancy in page numbers of the pdf guides between 9.4 and 9.4.1 ...

With regards to the outcome of the Fishcakes model, I think it's inherent in the model that average costs/kg should be equal, but I don't have a formal reason other than that.
