Time structure continuous

Hello,

in a test I read somehting about a time structure "continuous", but could not find it the docs. Where do i have to look to find something about different time structures?
Another statement was that I should develop more than one time dimension in order to create financial statements for last year, but why? Do you have an explanation for me (probably very easy but I don't know) ?

Thanks a lot,

Toto

Hi Toto, try this topic > http://forums.olapforums.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=207

it goes in to quite a lot of depth on different ways to deal with time and why :)

Hi Toto,

I wouldn't bother too much about the "continuous" time structure. This is terminology invented by some Applix/Cognos author in the TM1 training material - I think it indicates a single dimension and/or day-to-day time-modeling approach. You won't find it anywhere in the regular documentation.
Steve already pointed you to a more valuable discussion on time-modeling.
