TM1 Logs showing in different instance

Hi All,
I have two TM1 server instances running under a TM1 admin server on the same VM. Most of the activity is on one server and the second TM1 server is for minor reporting. I see that users logging into the first server are showing up as logged into the second instance. Most users do not have access to the second server. I see users in TM1TOP and also in TM1server.log. Has anyone seen this?

We have TM1 10.2.2 FP4 install on windows.

Any ideas please share.

Have you checked that the tm1s.cfg have different values for PortNumber, ClientMessage port, etc?
Are you sure that only one Admin server is running i.e. you only have the service (tm1admsd.exe) and not the application too (tm1admsrv.exe)?

Are the users accessing these reports via TM1Web? If so, and you have reports that pull from both instances, even if not intentionally (like hard-coding a server name and fogertting to change it, etc.), TM1 web will automatically log you into the other server when you access the report.

Port numbers are different and only one tm1admsd.exe is running.

We have Cognos BI reports running against TM1 cubes and both the users are non intersecting with different packages. Meaning one group does not access the other package or the contributor application.

So, when users log into cognos to access a report that uses TM1 cube, do they also show up in all tm1 server instances?
