Backward Compatibility - 10.2.1 down to 10.1

Hello,
I've read your other posts regarding backward compatibility and I don't think the issue we have has been discussed.
We are developing Cognos reporting using 10.2.1 (TM1 to build cubes/dimensions, Framework Manager and BI, Report Studio (dimensional reporting)). We have a client who has their own installation on their own server. Our plan for deployment is to provide them with the TM1 Processes (.pro files) to create the Cubes and Dimensions themselves. They also have their own Framework Manager to create their models/packages for the reports. We will 'deploy' the reports via Cognos Admin to provide them with a .zip (xml) file to import into their Report Studio environment. That is the plan. Today we found out that they are running Cognos 10.1. Do you think we will have any issues with our deployment plan due to the different versions of Cognos? Does this otherwise sound like a good plan for deployment in our case?
