Yes; you just drag them next to each other in the columns or rows of a cube viewer.

daclan,

The problem here is, my first dimension has 3 elements and second dimension has 5 elements, It has to be nested in such a way like first element from dim 1 displays only first element from dim 2, second element from dim 1 displays all the elements from dim 2 and third element from dim 1 displays third element from dim 2.

Sales Price Cost Price
Dimension 1 Dimension 2
A 1 10 20
B 1 10 20
2 11 21
3 12 22
4 13 23
5 14 24
c 5 14 24

Arvind

The answer is no. You can't do what you are asking in a cube view unless the "invalid" combinations are zero in which case zero suppression would do the trick. Otherwise it would have to be in a websheet, but not an active form as the dimension element selections would have to be static.

Your original question suggested you have achieved something in contributor (a web cube view) and want to build the same view in architect/perspectives.
If that is the case providing a screenshot may help us to better understand the difference between what you are experiencing.

Your second post does however sound like a different question as Tomok has highlighted.

Declan,

I have attached my cube view from TM1 architect, but in contributor view it like for each element from first dimension they are filtering different elements in second dimension. I know by default if we select any element from second element it will be same for all the elements in first dimension. Is there any way to achieve TM1 view similar to contributor view.

arvind

Can you show the equivalent contributor view where this is working how you want?

As far as I am aware the functionality should be the same between the 2.

I don't have exact view of the contributor, i can like how it looks.

from the attachment which have posted in my previous reply it should look like this, The "Submit version" element from first dimension will have only one element "Golf Shop" from second dimension displayed in the view, similarly the second element "Budget Version1" from first dimension will have all the elements displayed from second dimension. For the last element "Budget Version2" from first dimension will have last element "Sports Shop" from second dimension displayed in the view.

Thanks,
Arvind

As Tomok mentioned before that is not possible in a cube view in either Architect/Perspectives or Contributor. The only way to achieve it for a cube view is via zero suppression but then you would need at least 1 column to have a value for the rows you want to keep; you can of course use some sort of dummy column called something like "visible intersections" to control that.

If you use websheets however instead of cubeviews you can get a lot more creative.

If you're doing it in Contributor I must assume you are zero-suppressing along the approval hierarchy which is getting you what you want. Since there is no contributor approval hierarchy in Architect this won't work unless you do something like Declanr mentioned.
