TM1 as Datasource on Cognos Analytics

Hi,
Does anyone know why TM1 can't be used as a datasource on Cognos Analytics when installed on Linux? Apparently this can only be achieved when Cognos Analytics is installed on Windows or Solaris, which sounds ridiculous to me.
I just want to know if there's some work around this. Because 10.2.2 didn't have any OS restrictions with TM1.
