Bugs on Perspectives 10.2.2 fix pack 5

Post by allico920 »

hello all,

at the end of August, we updated our TM1 and excel versions within our RDS environment and found several bugs over the last month. Has anyone else seen these bugs or have fixes for them? we are on excel 2013 32 bit as part of Microsoft Office Professional Plus, and TM1 10.2.2 fix pack 5

1) sometimes excel will "freeze" up, it will not allow me to click on a cell until i click out of the file and back into it
2)excel will crash in the middle of working on simple linked files
3)the TM1 tab icons will become unavailable (see capture 1)
4) the TM1 tab itself is disappearing (see capture 2)
5) reports are taking a lot longer to refresh, reports that used to take under 1 min now taking over 5 min

thank you for any feedback!

I think no. 3&4 are pretty standard-lived with this over the years and it happens from time to time, generally when you interrupt code or have bad macro code, or just because it does.

No. 1 is definitely annoying and I can say that I noticed this behaviour from FP4 (which I am still running) what seems to be happening here is that the focus changes to another windows, not the one you are viewing. Sometimes you type in a value, nothing seems to happen, you then later find the value you entered in one of the other windows you had open. This behaviour also seems to happen when you are selecting an area, right click to try and use commands e.g. column width but all options are greyed. Cannot put my finger on what triggers this but have a suspicion that it had more to do with an Office update than a TM1 update.

FWIW, we rolled back from FP5 due to numerous issues-look through this forum and you will find a range of these.
BR, George.
