Disappearing TM1Web directory

As always when completely stumped, I turn to this forum for help and assistance, as I have now exhausted all the options I can think off. Here is the situation. We are running TM1 10.2.2 FP4 and FP5 (separate servers). Occasionally, our instances crash, which is a separate topic that I am working with the infrastructure team to resolve. However, here is where the bizarre behavior begins. When an instance of TM1 crashes, our webapps\tm1web directory completely disappears. The first time it happened I wrote it off as a one-off, but this has now happened on all servers on several occasions for the past year. The fix is simple enough, I take a copy of the directory from a different server, copy the files over, re-update the configuration, restart the service, and I am back and working...But at the same time it's an annoyance, especially when it happens on our productionalized servers which require us to submit CMR for the fix, and causes the web service to be unavailable. I worked with infrastructure to put an audit on the folder, so I will update with the findings as it happens, but has anyone else been experiencing this?

As far as the server version, all Windows Server 2008 R2, and they are on a virtual machine.

Any help or advice is appreciated!

This does not sound like a TM1 problem but a software issue to do with something scanning your system and deciding the webapps directory is "unsafe" or possibly a faulty packaging software.

It seems to be a common problem in the 10.2.2 installers that the tm1web directory often isn't unzipped from the gz file and this needs to be done manually. Could be your packaging deployment tool thinks the "good image" of the tm1 install doesn't have the directory as the gz for whatever reason needed to be manually deployed and the packaging software is "restoring" the system to the pristine post install state. Just a theory but I have seem an almost identical situation before with a customer, it took us a while to figure out.

I already had the thought that it may be anti-virus, and I checked the McAfee configuration with my infrastructure guy, and there was no file deletions that were done by McAfee.

Also, I think you misunderstand. The web directory works fine for several months, and up until this crash occurs, there are absolutely no issues, so it can't be the unzip doesn't work correctly. Any other ideas?
