TM1 Banner Icon missing 07 Excel

I just installed TM1 version 10.2 onto a new laptop. I originally installed it onto C:\Program Files\ibm\cognos\tm1_64, however every time I opened Excel I received an error message that kept saying tm1p does not exist in this location (C:\ Program Files (x86) \ibm\cognos\tm1_64\bin). The employee that’s using the software received a brand new laptop from the company’s IT department and it appears that it kept some of the Excel add-ins from the previous laptop. So I uninstalled TM1 and reinstalled it onto the Program Files(x86) path. When I finished the installation the error message went away however, once I went into Excel Options -> Add-Ins -> Manage Excel Add-ins to enable the TM1 add-in the banner did not appear. The employee can currently open TM1 through the start menu but can’t open it through excel. Both the laptops have 64-bit Operating Systems. Please let me know what I need to do for the icon to reappear in Excel. Thanks!

Is the Excel installation 64 bit as well? 64 bit perspectives only works with 64 bit Excel.

I'm not sure that the symptoms line up with that issue, but it's worth checking.
