Hi,

When we use calculation (F9) button on excel which is connected with the function(DBRW) to TM1, it takes long time like 2 3 minutes. TM1 version is 10.2.2. and excel version is 2010. What do you think guys?

Also, While customer working on excel they open too many excels. But just one of these excel connected to TM1. Then when we press F9. Are the other excels being calculated or not?

Firstly you need to read the guidance for asking questions. For this part, this could be many things including a slow model. For the second part yes if you only press F9 it calculates every sheet. I think it's shift + F9 that will calculate the only the current sheet. Somebody will confirm this.

Correct Jim-AFAIK the following applies when the TM1 add-in is active:

• F9 recalc all workbooks, all worksheets, tables etc.
• Shift+F9-calculate Activesheet
• Alt+F9-calculate Activesheet and rebuild activeforms on current sheet-Same as clicking the Rebuild Current Sheet icon

You use the word "customer". Does this mean you are a "consultant"?

In addition, please can you use a descriptive titel for your topic? Excel as a title is pretty useless. Thanks.

Sorry for the title Wim. Also, yes I am a consultant on a project in a bank. And thanks for reply. As said Jim , there can be lots of reason for this issue. I just wanted to ask how could ı search or what you guys's opinion ..

You already have a (rather obvious) answer:

F9 calculates all worksheets in all open workbooks
Shift-F9 would only recalculate the active sheet in the active workbook

As you can imagine, instructing the users at your customer to use the correct buttons given the situation, is what you need to do.

Besides this, obviously, if your model is heavy then consuming the model in Excel will likely "take a long time" as well.
