GPU Computing with TM1?

Hello
I can't find anything in the web so far. I asked myself, is TM1 able for GPU computing?
If yes, is it speed up something? (like db start or formula calculations)
Regards
Patric

Jedox utilizes GPU but not TM1.

Jedox seems to not be pushing the "GPU calculation" marketing anymore. The last I heard (which admittedly was for the last Jedox release not the current v6) the GPU calculation in Jedox only worked for pure consolidation of values, that is once rules were involved calculation was CPU single threaded.
There are also practical considerations; TM1 typically runs on servers which may have a truckload of CPUs but typically don't have a bank of high end GPUs (because people aren't typically gaming on the database server).
With 10.2.2 TM1 now has MTQ which does calculate rule values multi-threaded. Since TM1 can now use the available CPU power effectively I think the whole question of using GPU is more or less redundant. Why would you want to, and what would it bring that using multiple CPU doesn't?

Agreed. It seemed like a gimmick to me anyway. Some of the propeller-heads at Jedox must have been out having a few brews one night and one of them said, "Hey, wouldn't it be cool if we could make Palo utilize the GPU's in our PCs? It seems like a waste to not use them for anything other than playing World of Warcraft."
