TM1 Perspectives and the clipboard error
Posted: Fri Jan 08, 2016 1:10 pm
Hello,
Could someone indicate me what I'm doing wrong in the below description ?
Or what I could do to improve this very sad "behaviour" ?
Excel 2013, 32 bits
TM1 10.2.2.4
Win 7, 64 bits
I have a Period dimension in TM1 (elements P01 to P12 let's say) and I want to add the month name (Jan ==> Dec) as an alias - without typing the names but rather copy/paste from Excel.
1. Open up Excel from scratch, including the TM1 Perspectives add-in. No Excel sheets are open.
2. Log on to a TM1 model
3. In Excel, I hit Ctrl-N to open a new empty workbook.
4. In cell A1 I type: Jan, and fill down 12 cells to have the short month names. I want to copy these to an alias on a Period dimension in TM1.
5. I press Ctrl-C to copy the 12 cells, I get the well-known error message: "We couldn't free up space on the Clipboard. Another program might be using it right now."
Any comments on this ?
Thanks !
