You'll need to remove the previously used folder and you may need to change some settings in the registry as windows may think it's still installed. Hopefully rebuilding the directory will be enough. I'd just try that first,

Jim.

Did you try uninstalling? That should take care of removing all the registry entries for you. If not, then you'll have to open the registry with regedit and hunt and peck for keys to delete. Search for keys with the characters "TM1" in it.

Hi Tomok :D

Yes, try to uninstall everything, but, I had not considered delete registry ,framework's uninstaller is corrupted because there is absolutely nothing appears,I do not want to delete something by mistake
I would ask if there is any entry in regedit to delete the client framework or clients (Architect, Xcelerator Frameworks, Advisor).

You're going to be better off starting with a fresh image and reinstalling everything. There isn't ONE entry in the registry for those things, there are probably dozens, I don't know the exact number. It'll be quicker to wipe clean than waste a bunch of time trying to chase down registry entries. JMO.

Hi guys,

I know it is almost a year old thread but I have ran into the exact same issue. In my case, I have built a VM using a fresh image with Windows 2008 R2 server. As it's a fresh image, it never had TM1 server or client installed, and yet I am getting the 'specified product does not exist in this location...' error.

I have conducted a search in Registry, basically just searched for 'tm1' but didn't get anything except for the MUICache which is basically history of locations that you enter in various drop downs (run command, address bars etc.) and some encrypted strings that were binary coded and belonged to Windows.

Any ideas what could I be doing wrong and the corrections?

Thanks

Kaz
