TM1 Operations Console email alerts

Hi

I am trying to setup the Watchdog feature in the Operations Console to send email alerts.

I am running this on Cognos Express 10.2 on a Windows 2012 environment. I have successfully set up the Operations console and have got Watchdog to kill a long running process.

I am following the documentation to enable logback and watchdog and the IBM documentation for both CX and TM1 is the same, no surprises there that they haven't updated the CX documentation.

The first thing to do according to the documentation is to edit the TM1 Applications .bat file to use logback

The documentation says to edit the service_pmpsvc.bat file found here, tm1_installation_location/bin64 service_pmpsvc.bat, yet there is no bat file like that in Express. I can find that on my TM1 10.2 installation but not in express.

Does anyone know what .bat file i should be editing?

You might be able to accomplish the same thing in tomcat\bin\service.bat. It is quite different from service_pmpsvc.bat but does launch the app server so it may work.

Did you ever get this to work ?
