CAFE Cogons TM1 10.2.2 FP3 - which functions are available?

Post by Riposte »

Hi folks,

I have done some research about some CAFE functions but I didn't found a answer for some of them at all. Maybe you can help me here.

- DBRW, DBR and some other basic formula are available. So far so good.
- It''s also possible to work on reports/snaps which are made in Perspectives. But may complex can the report be and are there restrictions?
- What is with nested queries via parametercubes are they working?
- Is it possible to build a formula view in CAFE? Automatic or manually? (I found nothing)
- Which perspective functions are available in CAFE e.g. TABDIM?
- How complex reports may be in Perspectives in order to work and what happens with active forms?

Thanks in advance :-).

Best,

Technote (FAQ)

Question
This release of IBM Cognos Analysis for Microsoft Excel has the following new features:
- Bulk upload of flex view data.
- Additional TM1 Worksheet functions are available in Cognos Analysis for Microsoft Excel.

These features are described in this technote.

Known limitations:

1) DIMNM
- No alias support

2) SUBNM
- If the subset is defined with an Alias and no Alias argument is specified in formula, the element name will be returned.
- If no Alias is specified in formula and the 3rd argument is a string, CAFE will return the 3rd argument as it was defined.
