TM1 Action buttons not displayed in Excel

Hi all,

We have a Excel spreadsheet posted to Applications. When I opened it to Excel, the TM1 Action Buttons to run chores becomes a grey box with no text and cannot click into it. TM1 is setup as perspectives and Excel Developer design mode is not clicked.

Does anyone know what cause this and how to fix this?

Have you checked this on multiple computers?

If they're fine in the other computers it sounds like the "accursed .exd issue". I hear from various places that this has been triggered for a lot of people by a recent security update that was done to Excel and indeed I had a problem with it on one of my computers just last weekend, where command buttons refused to allow themselves to be clicked on until I conducted a purge of the .exds.

The issue only happen on my computer. I tried as you have suggested to delete the .exd files and no success.

I was wondering if the issue described here was ever resolved??

I am encountering this same issue in that I have 3 identical TM1 action buttons and 2 of the 3 work but the third becomes blank like belle described. I am working in Excel 2010 32 bit with 10.2 and I have tried recreating the buttons several times and copying the TI processes so that each button runs its own TI process (all identical). The kicker is that a different button seems to fail each time so it is not consistent. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You didn't mention which Fix Pack you are running, there are multiple issues with Action Buttons solved with FP2. Labels which disappear etc.
