Hi all,

Using Cognos Virtual View Manager, I created an ODBC data source. Using TI, I can see the ODBC connection but when I try to retrieve data, I get error saying "SQL statement failed".

VVM version is 10.2(but in the VVM ODBC driver it says 10.1)
TM1 version is 10.2.2 64 bit(Yes, 10.2.2 version can see 32 bit ODBC connections)
BI version is 10.2.2

I also checked the log files and when I searched an error msg from the log file, I see that that error message is given in Framework Manager too when you choose SQL server ODBC instead of VVM ODBC. This made my thought that maybe it is not possible to query VVM ODBC from TM1, or you should use a different query structure.

In VVM, there is an hierarch like database>catalog>schema>table. I tried querying from TI with just table name; schema and table name; catalog, schema, and table name etc. with many variations.

I also tried to connect VVM ODBC from Cognos Connection but I do not know what to write in connection string, Collation sequence annd other parameters; and when I leave it empty the test fails, could be some other reason as well.

Has anyone encountered a similar problem? Or much important, has anyone succesfully connected to VVM ODBC from TM1 or heard of someone who did?

I could not file any example where it connects TM1 to VVM, and I also could not find how to fill parameters when connecting VVM ODBC from Cognos Connection. I would appreciate if anyone can share their experience with this, or just give me some guidance what can I do next.

It says we should first create Framework Package then connect TM1 to it. Is there no chance to connect TM1 directly to VVM using ODBC connection?

The error I get while trying to create a datasource in Framework Manager(Cognos Connection:
DPR-ERR-2002 Unable to execute the request because there were no connections to the process available within the configured time limit.


I tried finishing the wizard without testing and I was able to create a package in FM and publish it to Cognos BI. I am able to see the column names in framework. But when I open Report Studio or Workspace Advanced using that package, it just keeps loading the package and does not result in success or give any error message.

It finished saying "package loading" and threw the same error: DPR-ERR-2002 Unable to execute the request because there were no connections to the process available within the configured time limit."
