Hi,
I came across a problem when I used CAFE in TM1 10.2.2 to develop some forms.
Steps:
1. I created a view A through TM1 Performance Modeler
2. I dragged the view A as a flex view in excel CAFE pane, and refresh the this form, it worked correctly.(ref.to attahcment)
3. Due to some reasons, I need to change the dimension position from Context to Column. I changed the dimension position and modified the Refer To in NameManager , then refresh the worksheet, but it popup a error: System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException. (ref.to attahcment)
And I don't want to re-do a new view, I just want to do some changes in the excel. Is there any good ways to solve this problem? If in Perspective, I just need to modity the formula in the cell, but I see no formula in CAFE.Thanks.
Wendy

Hi Wendy,
You may try to create a new crosstab, drag the view onto that crosstab(which results in an exploration view), then move dimensions btw columns, rows, and context as you like, then convert that crosstab to a flex view.

Hi,
Thanks for your suggestion.
But I have done many formats on this flex view, and lots of worksheets... and it means I need re-do all this worksheets....

Re: Change dimension position from Context to Column in CAFE
Not 100% sure but since we've gone to the latest version of CAFE (10.2.2) we've had nothing but trouble with it.
I too am unable to create a workable Flexview either.
With one of the prior 10.1 versions of CAFE I was able to do as noted by tm1ist, have not had the time to confirm if it's a problem with CAFE itself or just the way it's been packaged for our environment as our latest package can't even bring up a crosstab at the moment...

Re: Change dimension position from Context to Column in CAFE
Wendy, I tried the same thing and could not manage to do it either.(In FixPack 1, I got the same error. In FixPack 2, I did not get any error but it was still not successful. I am not sure why it did not give me error in FixPack2, maybe it is just because I used different views. I just upgraded to FixPack2, so can't try it again with FixPack1.) Actually I have never heard of that it is possible to move dimensions btw columns, rows, context in Flex View. Do you know anybody who can manage to move dimensions like that?
RJ, I am using CAFE 10.2.2 with TM1 10.2.0, and I have no problems with creating and playing with crosstabs. However, I too have encountered number of issues/bugs while using different versions of CAFE. I recommend that you communicate IBM Customer Service for the issues(if possible) and always install the latest fix packs for CAFE. The latest fix pack for CAFE 10.2.2 is FP2 > http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.w ... ab_1022FP2

Re: Change dimension position from Context to Column in CAFE
I'm sure we are already on the latest FP. We also have an open APAR with IBM for bugs with CAFE, might get it resolved in the next FP fingers crossed.
When I get the time I'll start testing the current package again. I'm sure our security policy is causing some of the grief as CAFE can't connect/update one of its XML files

Hello,
I've done some tests on FP2, the dimension still can't move in Flex view. This tool is not so flexible.

Re: Change dimension position from Context to Column in CAFE
Dear Wendy,
If you want to move dimensions between context, columns and rows, the only exploration that you can use is a crosstab in CAFE, flex view is not suitable for that, unfortunately.
