Hello All,

Our users access tm1 applications in Contributor using Insight as a front end tool. Recently one of our users have reported of an error with Insight.
After entering data & clicking on commit , an error shoots saying "A problem occurred during the save operation. Some or all of your data may not have been saved. Export your data locally to ensure that it is not lost. Please see the log for more detailed information.

com.ibm.cognos.tm1.TM1Exception: An unknown TM1Exception has occured "

I have checked the same users view in architect & CAFE and all seems fine. I am not sure how to deal with this one. Request you all to kindly give your valuable responses.

Was the error a one-off or is this a consistently occurring error?
Some thoughts:
Is there a virus scanner active that could lock files from time to time?
Did anything change recently in the (rule-based) security setup that could lead to the user trying to commit data to areas that (s)he was allowed to write to at the time, but now does not have access to anymore?

Hi Michel,

This was first of its kind. I have checked user's security privileges and that seem to be fine. Since user is able to access through CAFE. But I have no clue to deal with this.

Any suggestions ?
