We have users who need to use both the Contributor and the Perspectives.
When they start using the Contributor, for some reason, the cells in the Perspectives get locked for writing. Hence they are unable to write in perspectives.

We use TM1 10.1.1

THe Data reservtaion for this cube is 'RequiredShared'. I am wondering if that is what is causing this issue. What would happen if this was turned off?

I wouldn't try that, cubes included in an approval/responsibility application will need this setting otherwise users could start writing to these cubes through contributor without taking ownership.
