CAFE Frequent Timeout Issue

Hi all,

In CAFE, if a user has been inactive for around 100 seconds, when the user clicks refresh or commit, CAFE prompts the login screen again. Have anyone of you encountered this problem before or do you have any idea what could be the reason for that?

• Software Versions
o Cognos Analysis for Excel 10.2.2
o Cognos TM1 10.2.
o Cognos BI 10.2.1
• All users have this issue.
• There is no problem in other clients like Perspectives, TM1Web, Architecture.
• On the server side, we have two-tier architecture. Application Server and TM1 server reside in different virtual machines.

CAFE connects to TM1 through the PMHUB component. PMHUB is installed (and started) alongside "TM1 Application Server." You can check the session timeout values at http://<yourhostname>:<portnumber>/pmhub/pm/admin and then going to Configurations->com.ibm.ba.pm.resource.session->dictionary and check the MaxInactivityTimeout value.

Hi Brianl,
The MaxInactivityTimeout in my configuration is 3600, which means the CAFE can be active for 1hour after login, but it seems the session is logoff after 30mins. Is there any other configuration to modify? Thanks.
