Hi all:

Sorry for asking the basic question about the installing

1) When I install the Version 10.1 web server follow the step from IBM Cognos TM1 document, it need to install the IIS 6.0 on windows 2008SR2, but actually I didn't see any victual directory on IIS. And then I visit the http://localhost/tm1web, it display the white.

2) When I using the my laptop to connect my server, suppose my server IP is 10.1.1.1 and when I using Architect in my laptop, where to config this IP? In options? Admin host? But as the document says, the admin host should be a IP. Is there anythings need to be configure on the server as well?

To answer question 2. The admin host has a listen on it waiting for connections. Using the IP of the admin host can have it's pit falls however as in some networks the IP isn't always gaunranteed. (I was informed of this in my last role) I've normally found that the DNS name is pretty safe, you just have to be aware the some servers / networks don't always handle short names very well. It's normally best to stick with the long name. (Again something I found out in a previous role when TI's failed to execute)
