Hi Everyone,

I'm facing a scenario wherein I'm unable to see SQL ODBC sources when I'm running the server as an Application.
Interestingly, I'm able to see & use those connections from the same server when I run the server as a Service.

TM1 Version: TM1 9.5.2
ODBC connection : SQL Server.

I wonder what could be the reason behind this behaviour?
Has anybody faced this before?
Any clues?

Are you running the application as 32-bit and the service as 64-bit? I think you may need to check which ODBC data sources you have created. It might also be to do with the account running the service/ application. If you're on Windows Server 2008, try right-clicking and running as administrator for your application.

I tried your suggestion. I tried to run the application as an administrator user, however there were restrictions & right click did not give an option of administrator but different account users. Yet, I was able to run it as the user account that runs the windows service.
But in vain, the ODBC connection still doesn't appear in the list.

Have you set up the ODBC DSN as a System DSN rather than as a User DSN. If it is set up as a System DSN then it can be accessed by any user on the server. When in the ODBC set up dialog, make sure you go to the second tab as by default it opens on the first tab which is for user rather than system DSNs
