Hi,
using Cognos TM1 10.1.1 fixpack 2 on Windows 2008 RC2. On Windows server I have also installed TM1 Architect and from my PC using Windows Remote Desktop I am accessing Windows server and running TM1 Architect remotly on server.

Login into Architect works fine. I can work for about 5 to 10 minutes than I get error: "Error -2 occurred pinging your Cognos passport. You will now be disconnected from <server name>" and connection is lost. I need to reconnect in TM1 Architect and then everything works fine again. This repeats constantly, it is very annoying and I lost my work when this problem appears.

Is there something I can check and do to this problem disappear?

P.S. My Windows Remote Desktop connection is never lost and if it would be still TM1 Architect on server machine should not lost connection to TM1 server component.

What security level have you set in your cfg file? It sounds like you're using CAM can you confirm this? These details will help with answering the issue,

I am using Cognos BI 10.2.1 login authentication, so using IntegratedSecurityMode=4.
I have pasted whole TM1 file to: http://pastebin.com/QxpYjLUe (for privacy reasons I just changed my company domain name with "myserver.mycompany.com").

Do you know what your idle time out setting is on the CAM side?

Ahhhh.... I remember I have set 15 minutes time limit of report execution on Cognos BI server to prevent queries from hell that never ends - execute for very long time, most probably because of some stupidity of requesting very very very detailed data from a lot of dimensions. This settings is probably effecting

Now I have found out setting special setting for TM1 server in tm1server.cfg I have changed setting from:
ClientPingCAMPassport=900
so defaul 15 minutes to
ClientPingCAMPassport=43200
so 12 hours and not I don't get logged out of TM1 Architect anymore. It looks like problem solved.

P.S. I changed this setting on development/test system on production I have left default setting on to not produce some other side effect.
