TM1 Web Script error in Internet Explorer 7

Good Day everyone
I’m am running Tm1 9.4.1 on Excel 2007 and Tm1 Web on Internet explorer 7. When I try to open the http://localhost/tm1web/TM1Weblogin.aspx file internet explorer reports an error on the script "var numopts = ctrl.options.length" on line 27 the result being that no server is detected and I am unable to log on. Can some please assist me in this matter, it will be much appreciated.
