10.2 Perspectives Error: Compatibility with Office/Excel 201

We recently upgraded to 10.2 Perspectives, along with upgrading to Office/Excel Professional Plus 2013.
Following the Office 2013 upgrade, a few users are having an issue, where the TM1 add-in disappears. Thereby losing Tm1 related work.
The common error that is received is the following:
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Microsoft Visual Basic
Run-time error '1004':
Method 'Interactive' of object '_Application' failed
------------------------------------------------------------------
Any thoughts to adjust or a workaround?
Thank you.

I've no experience with Office 2013 but the first question wich came in my mind is: do you use the 32-bit Version?

Willi - That too is something that we have been looking at? 32 bit vs. 64 bit.
We are focused on 32 bit.
We initially noticed 64 bit installations was shotty at best.
Any thoughts on steps on how to have users check if they have 32 bit vs. 64 bit installation?
Thank you.

All Versions prioe 10.2.2 only works with 32-bit Excel. And I personally didn'T try if 10.2.2 works with 64-bit. And here I don't have Excel. So I suppose a Little pragmatic idea how to check. If it's istalled in "Program Files (x86)" it's 32 bit. If it's installed in "Program Files" it'S 64 bit.

In the task manager 32 bit apps have *32 after them.
Remove the TM1 ribbon (rename tm1pribbonx.xlam) and the problem should go away

There is an error, which removes the TM1 menue (the old style one, which appears after renaming of the ribbon file), once you go and close the last open file in Excel. It only occurs with Office 2013, not with 2010.
I could get IBM support to accept this after a couple of month. Now I was told 10.2 FP1 IF4 has solved this, but I still see the error.
So I have started the next loop with them.
