Feeders knowledge

Post by deepakjain2020 »

Hi All,

Cube1:

It has 4 dimensions.
1. City
2. Measure
3.Account
4. Version

Cube2:
1. States
2. Measure
3. Account
4. Version

City Dimension in Cube1 is having states name at consolidated level.

Cube1 gets data from cube2 based on rules written. Cube 2 is feeding cube1.
For few of the elements in cube1 when I right click on cell and select check feeders, it was showing as not fed. Due to which the consolidated element was having a value as 'ZERO'.

There were no changes made to rules in any of the cubes. I have saved the rules of Cube2 and after that the data was fed to Cube1 properly.

Does saving of rules will create a feeder file again?
I am not sure whether the issue was due to feeders file or what could be other options?

Please share your opinions on what could be reasons.

Thanks,
Deepak Jain

Thanks for reply :)

I will like to know whether the feeders (or) rule files get corrupted? If yes, what could be possible reasons?
I will try to create appropriate rules and feeders based on scenario and post it soon.

Rules are attached to the cube itself just in case the rule file goes missing or gets corrputed so I doubt that's your issue, but without seeing what your talking about (as mentioned by EvengyT) we won't be able to help you further.
