Hello All
Earlier, in tm1 9.5, I could able to hide the dimension in the view through view wizard in TM1 web. In TM1 10.2, I tried to hide the dimension from the view but couldn't get succeed. Anyone has idea about it in tm1 10.2?
In tm1 10.2, tm1 web, i am not getting the new view (that we used to see in the object panel of tm1 web by default in 9.5) object.
Thanks
Dharav

Yep, there's no 'create view' functionality in this latest TM1 Web (10.2). You have to reconfigure an existing view and then save it.

What if i want to hide dimension from the view?
Earlier,
In TM1 web, we were able to hide the dimension. In 10.2, how could we do it?
Thanks

Have you tried creating the view in PM? I'm not sure if you can hide a dimension in there but it's worth a try,
Jim.

It seems that functionality has been removed along with the new view wizard. You can only drop dimensions in Rows, Columns or Context - there's no drop area for 'Hidden' (unless it is itself very well hiddendharav wrote:In TM1 web, we were able to hide the dimension. In 10.2, how could we do it?

Personally, I don't think it is a bad thing. Self-serve analytics should be about users exploring data. If you have to hide dimensions from the end user then perhaps you are giving them access to the wrong cubes, or there has been some sub-optimal design.
Why are you trying to hide dimensions?

Re: How to hide dimension from a view in TM1 10.2?
We have enhancement is going on the existing system. We have two cube ABC and PQR. ABC has 4 dimension and PQR has 5 dimension. All 4 dimensions are the part of the PQR cube. The 5th dimension in PQR cube has only two elements. So i thought to maintain only one cube by combining both ABC and PQR cubes. In 5th dimension, i can enter one element which would be static to serve the purpose for ABC cube view in the new view. So we can hide that static element (dim5) to give the same look and feel of the cube ABC.

I see - so its like a 'continuity' thing. Well, it sounds like only a small training challenge to ask users of 'ABC' to ignore the other element in the dim5 dimension. Give it a few months and they'll forget all about it!
