I am currently deploying Cognos TM1 Perspectives excel addin to a large number of users.
This has been deployed utilising a myriad of methods including a repackaged msi, app-v and a response file (.ats) via sccm.
However our end users receive an activex error 429 on opening the excel addin (tm1p.xla).
I have read the ibm documentation on this which states to run the application as an administrator first which has resolved our issue. However our end users will not have admin permissions and as such is not suitable for deployment.
Has anyone encountered similar issues and if so know how to resolve this?
I am currently going through a procmon log of 70000 lines to assess which keys or files I need to give users permissions to!!!
