TM1 Web 9.4.1 memory leak?

We are running TM1 9.4.1. MR1 FP001 64 BIT on a Windows 2003 Enterprise 64 BIT. The server has 8 gigs of RAM and 2 quad core processors.

With only 2 users hitting the TM1WEB site many times over a 30 minute period of time the w3wp.exe (I.e. www service) on the server had reached using 1.9 gigabytes of memory. Each time a page is loaded the memory goes up 15 to 30 megs. If the user logs out the memory is not purged. If the same user logs in and then logs out it keeps accumulating steadily.

What happens if 50 users start accessing the TM1 web site?

There appears to be a serious memory leak.

Is there a config setting, IIS setting, patch, etc to fix this?

Does IIS know it has lots of RAM and will clean up memory when it needs to?

Thanks

Chris

Hi Chris,
Interesting information..
You are pretty close to the leading edge of the software releases and I'd suggest that you raise this direct with IBM or your reseller as this sounds like a bug to me. It would be great if you could keep the forum updated on the issue though.

Cheers,

we did a small stress test recently on 9.4.1 FP002
64 Bit 2003 Windows server for TM1
32 Bit 2003 Windows server for TM1Web

We did not see this memory leak. Our w3wp.exe hovered at the 500-600MB range
