Would that be 2 counts of A&B for each pic or 6 counts for each battery?

All I am OOO next week to study for the CPA so I will be MIA.

There's a joke there somewhere but maybe this isn't the place.

The odd thing with that site is that some years ago, when I was planning a trip to LA, I decided to try the whole "I am Dave Gorman" thing and emailed Dr Turner of Beverly Hills to see if he wanted to meet up for a beer (well, an American beer, but that's a different debate).

Strangely, I never received a response to my generous offer  :P

Glad to see the broadsheet debates continue on this forum... :ugeek:

Google... nope, Google... nope, Google again... aha! So that's what he's referring to!

(More obscure UK-ian references do not necessarily translate well across the globe... It was actually "Are you Dave Gorman", a reference to which can be found here: http://www.davegorman.com/projects_are_ ... orman.html)

One which not infrequently turned up in the alt.humor.best-of-usenet usenet group before it seemed to croak its final and lamented croak a few months ago. Examples:

Well, at least you knew he was there before you went. I didn't find out about this guy until 6 months after my stay in Wilsonville Oregon:

Granted he's not as hunk-i-licious as the original {cough...}, and since he's a CFO of a building materials / products corporation who "chaired the city's Road Maintenance Task Force" I think we may have a hard time finding some common ground discussion-wise[1], but it still may have been interesting to meet up.

([1] Or perhaps not.
Me: "See, the tricky part is when you have to flip the switch from being Julius to being Augustus. It's all very well to BUILD your empire by having legions stomping all over Pompey or anyone else who gets in your way, but then you have to RUN the empire."
Him: "You'll need roads. Lots of roads. I can help you with that!")

Yeah, well, we do what we can. But in the vein of your choice of the "UberGeek" icon, I offer this observation.

I've just gotten back from another long weekend away down in RJ territory. As I was doing a photo shoot by Lake Burley Griffin around dawn this morning, I was struck by the number of Canberrans out for a jog along the paths around the lake. Presumably they're doing it for fitness rather than weight loss purposes, because believe me if you want to lose weight? All you've gotta do is stand there and let the laws of thermodynamics do their stuff. You should see the kilos shedding as your body desperately tries to pump out enough internal heat to keep you just this side of hypothermia. Hmmm, maybe there's some money to be made from this...
