Ahh... what a coincidence, our PMR has also been made a APAR...

Hi,
lotsaram/upali, do you have the APAR numbers so I can follow them?
Temporary view is going to be very handy with what I'm working on. But like what upali said if I can't use it as a data source, err, I really don't know what to do with it.
Thanks.

Some quick googling comes up with this APAR
http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.w ... wg1PI50708
While it doesn't show on the APAR page, this does appear to be fixed at least in IF5...

.
For example, a traditional zero out on the Prolog tab of a process. Or looping through a temporary subset.

I know this topic is nearly a year old but just wondered if anyone in a privileged position knows what is happening with this proposed enhancement. I've checked the following on the IBM Site and its noted as still being Open so gather its still a bit of a useless feature in FP 5 and 6?
PI50708: NEW TEMPORARY SUBSETS AND VIEWS CANNOT BE USED AS A DATA SOURCE FOR A TI PROCESS IN FP4

No idea why the APAR is still open, but this issue is fixed in FP5 and newer.
