TM1 RECALC not working and out of synchronization

Hello everybody,

I'm starting to use TM1 perspective and Active Forms in order to create a dinamic view in excel with some drop down boxes, in order to create a usefull interface to manage data.

The fact is that I'm experiencing sono problems in calculating and refreshing data. I explain myself better.
I've got this Active for in Excel where in the row there are the moths (01-09, 02-09, etc). Then I've got a drop down (combobox) where I put the years I want to retrieve data from. (2008, 2009, 2010)
So, for instance, when i select 2010 and then I press F9 (TM1 Calculate) the Excel sheet recalculate and the row changes (01-09 becomes 01-10) and the Cognos Engine refresh the data with the new row so it itakes data from 2010 and not anymore from 2009.
Now the problem:

it seems that the when the Recalcule operation is done there is an overlapping between Excel and Cognos refreshing so Cognos retrieves data that are not the ones expected from 2010 as I chose in the dropdown. it is like if the Cognos engine retrieved data before Excel updates.
But the error is more general because sometimes the egine retrieve data of the correct year bus some columns are not updated...

Now my question is: Have anyone of you experienced some problems of updating like mines?

I tried those solution without any improvement:

1. try to create an Excel Macro to update manually the cells I needs (the row) after the drop down changing and the doing manually the TM1RECALC (not working)
2. try to use TM1RECALC1, TM1REFRESH instead of the normal TM1RECAL. (not working)


Any idea of the error or a possible solution?

Have you tried just running the recalc twice in a row?
