Windows 7

Post by Malcolm MacDonnell »

Hi All,

Has anyone tried installing TM1 9.4 on Windows 7?

I know it's not supported, however I have a number of clients wishing to "Suck it and see" in the near future. I'm just wondering if any issues have been found/solved before I try and reinvent the wheel.

Thanks
Malcolm

Windows 7 is very close to Vista, closer than xp to vista so if we were able to get unsupported versions working on vista I can't see why it won't work on 7.

You might want to be aware that there is a bug that I believe applies to Windows 7 and maybe Vista. Sometimes what happens is when you attempt to launch the Architect client, it won't come up, but will show up in the running processes. This can be fixed by killing the process and then deleting the tm1p.ini file and then restarting.

I'm running it fine on Windows 7 Professional Edition, however I cannot get Executive Viewer working.
I suspect this is down the new security controls in IIS7.

Anyone had similar issues ?...
