TM1 9.1 SP4 OBDC Issue

Post by vaneagle »

Hi All,

Not sure if this is a bug or a feature! ;)

I need to connect to an access database to retrieve data.

I have created the ODBC under system DSN on the Windows 2003 64 bit server using odbcad32.exe. (32 bit here)

Now when i am back on my pc and in TM1, I 'create a new process', click on OBDC then browse for the connection i get an error,

'An error occurred while retrieving datasource names from the server'

Is it a compatibility issue between 32 and 64 bit?

Has anyone else had this issue?

Thanks in advance...

I'm guessing that you've looked through the FAQ post which leads you to this thread?

No I didn't actually as i did a search for OBDC drivers and variations on that within the forum.. I may need to step back a level in future.

Sweet.

Thanks for that..

I have tried one of these methods already. ie C:\WINDOWS\SysWOW64\odbcad32.exe which didn't work...

I shall keep reading...
