Need help with Rule; Detail to Summary

Post by Paul-TM1 »

Hi all,
I need help writing a rule and feeder from a detail cube to summary. Can someone help?
source cubedimensions feeder
NonLaborDetailProjects
Accounts
Months
Versions
yet to compile after the rule works
target cubedimensions Rule
NonLaborSummaryProjects
Months
Versions
Acct_summary_Items
I am unable to frame the attrs function to get the account to it's parent.
The attribute of the account is the parent -"Acct_summary_Items" in the Summary Cube.

Code: Select all

['Subcontractor Travel'] =N:
if (
attrs('Accounts', !Accounts, '?????')@=!???,
 DB('NonLaborDetail',!Projects,???,!Months,!Versions)
,stet) ;

Thanks,
Paul.

Its a bit hard to understand what you mean with those question marks. Can you write the rule in a form that it's easier to read?

You are referring to !Accounts in the rules of a cube that does not have the Account dimension so not sure what you're trying to achieve

Hi,

we need to know more about the relationship between the account and acct_summary_Items dimensions.

For example, could you create a rollup in the account dimension where the parents are the acct_summary_Items and then reference that in the rule.

And then feed from the account attribute.
