Hi,
Does anyone know how the dimensionsecurity cube can get created. I am seeing it in a model today, and it is causing access issues as it is just empty, and empty means no access.
More pertinent, is the best way to get rid of it to use CubeDestroy?

Re: }dimensionsecurity cube Created
}dimensionsecurity can be created with PAW or Architect (by an admin user) by right clicking on dimensions and setting security. In PAW the user gets a notification if the cube doesn't exist checking if the user wants to proceed before creating the cube. (without looking) i don't think this check occurs in Architect and as soon as a user goes to edit security the control object is created.
You can delete the cube with cubedestroy and then refresh the security. Or you could apply a rule on the cube to ensure everyone has access to all dimensions (if desired). With the latter, at least the problem won't reoccur, but you would need to refresh the security in the future after creating any new dimensions

Is this not a side effect of someone attaching Performance Mangler (Modeler) to the model - sure I have seen this many times.

Re: }dimensionsecurity cube Created
Hi,
Thank you for the responses, I created a process to delete the cube.
I should add that this was on IBM cloud, so hopefully not anything to do with performance Modeler, but I do remember something about how it could create that dimension.
Why an Admin would have done this remains a mystery!

Re: }dimensionsecurity cube Created
Why don’t you use that cube and fill it out appropriately? Or should anyone be able to see all dimensions ? (Even if cube security is in place and/or an interface is used)
