.bm.cub filetype anyone know what these are?

Post by John Hammond »

Morning

I have used the TM1 scrambler utility for some time now to create scrambled versions of cubes to use in lower environments. (See Below)

DebugUtility ( 114 , 0 , 0 , 'myCube' , 'C:\data\scrambled' , '' ) ;

Most of the time I have used Windows and it has created C:\data\scrambled\myCube.cub only. However using the Scrambler in Unix it creates an additional C:\data\scrambled\myCube.cub.bm file as well.

I looked in the file with npp and it is not a simple logging file, but some kind of work file. Should I be worried about this, or is it just a feature of TM1 Unix?

Regards

Using MTCubeLoad in your TM1s.cfg?
Likely these are encrypted bookmark files from the Index Store directory.
