Hi ,
I am new to Cognos TM1 , and now working on a support project ,
There is a requirement for my client , that is system copy from the production to the Quality inculding data , versions and configuartions .
Our data stored in f:\applix\custom\tm1data in production and in quality it is in E:\applix\custom\tm1data .
I have asked on my collegue from restore and backup team to copy the F:APPLIX to the new folder APPLIX_RESTORED in quality .
Now when I go and stop the services and rename the new folder to Applix and the old folder to Applix_restored and tried starting the service but there was an error message saying
"TheTM1 Server/FEC service on local computer started and then stoppede.
some services stop automatically if they have no work to do,for example,
the performance logs and alerts service."
Now After getting this error message I tried copying the old quality fec_logs and fec_db ( Database ) to the newly copied folder from Production .However this time I did not get any error message while starting the services . The services were started .
The application was up and running fine BUT with the old data and versions.
Any certain steps do we need to follow while server refresh , or any configurations needs to be changed after the restore .
Please please help me . It is very urgent issue.

Many thanks,
Swetha.
TM1 Apllix Issue: need Urgent help
Re: TM1 Apllix Issue: need Urgent help
Hi,
You can find more info regarding this error in the event viewer, and more than likely you'll find that the database and or logging directory specified in the current tm1s.cfg file is incorrect.
When you copy complete directories, ensure that your tm1s.cfg file is correct. More often than not you can copy a directory and then just replace the tm1s.cfg with the old copy.

Swetha, this seems to be the same as your earlier post.
