PAW Widget Selector Alias

Post by mnasra »

Hi all,

This is a very basic question, but I cannot find the answer.
I just added a widget selector to a PAW view. I need to show the Alias and not the principal name.
I cannot find where.. Sorry, I am sure the answer is obvious, but cannot find it.
Thanks
Thanks

Click on the widget and then click the little pencil in the upper right corner to bring up the subset editor. Within there, the alias selector is the little person (head & shoulders) in the top middle of the subset editor.

Thanks. But for some reason the little pencil does only 1 thing: edit the title. Am I missing somethin so obvious I could not see it.
Thanks

My mistake, I thought you were referring to an element selector that you can create by dragging the dimension out of an exploration view onto the canvas. I see now what you mean about the selection widget not having access to the set editor. You can use the method I mistakenly thought you were referring to, but you'd need to click on it to see the elements. You could also delete your current selection widget and re-add from a subset that has the desired elements.

Ah…. That's it. Adding the selector from a subset instead of from the dimension itself.
I knew it had to be something simple.
Thank you. Very appreciated.
