Which is best for users "TM1 Web Application" OR "TM1 Contributor" ?

They are basically the same thing except that Contributor adds the workflow functionality. If you don't need or want the built-in workflow then use TM1Web. If you do, then use Contributor. It's not really an either/or type thing anyway, you can use both.

At the risk of confusing matters further, IBM's official name for 'Contributor' is 'TM1 Applications Web'. :roll:

Just to add that TM1 Web has longer shelf life, as IBM guy (at Sempre's Customer Day) said they are trying to re-write the Contributor/Workflow functionality from scratch.
Massive credit to Contributor/Application Web really, as they have been redeveloping this for over a year now...

Once they have, Application Web and PM will be exterminated.

Funnily enough, there was no demo, just screenshots of the new Workflow. So this may be at least 6-9 months away.
