Rule causing service to go down?

Post by lynnsong986 »

Hello,
I wrote a rule that takes too much memory to calculate and TM1 asked me if I wanted to refresh the server, I clicked on yes then next thing I know is that the server went down. Could a rule cause that?

Now the server is back but the cube where that rule resides doesn't open and when I tried to go to the rule editor to delete that problematic rule, it doesn't respond. what should I do now? delete the whole cube?

thanks!

If you have access to the server directory, edit the .RUX file with Notepad and comment out the problematic rule. Then look for the matching .BLB file and delete or rename it. Then restart the server.

thanks so much for replying. I don't have access to the server directory. I guess I'll have to get the administrator then
