Hi All,
We need to access SAP HANA Views or tables in Cognos TM1.
Can someone help me in getting information on what is the best way to connect to SAP HANA from TM1.
Regards,
Deepak Jain

Re: TM1 and SAP HANA Integration
We are connecting via ODBC and using sql to extract data from HANA views. Maybe more detail in your question will get more detailed help.

Re: TM1 and SAP HANA Integration
Hi BucJeff,
Did you installed any separate connectors, to create ODBC connection for SAP HANA?
If you can help me in understanding how you created ODBC to connect with HANA directly.
For SQL Server ODBC works fine, but when it comes to HANA, it may not be straight forward.

Re: TM1 and SAP HANA Integration
You need to download and install the SAP HANA ODBC Driver.
It is commercial software by SAP.
You download it from SAP.
If you can download it, and how you can use it (for trial only or for production), that depends on your relationship/contract with SAP.

Re: TM1 and SAP HANA Integration
TM1 to HANA integration isn't really different and works as expected. I have connected TM1 to HANA with and without SSO/SSL
1. Download and Install ODBC Drivers as mention by Moby91 on the TM1 Server
2. Configure "Windows ODBC Data Sources" as with any other ODBC driver

Re: TM1 and SAP HANA Integration
hi
deepakjain2020
we have the development but to upload the data from tm1 to SAP HANA where we use the JDBC driver. Loading data bypassing ODBC looks very dangerous, with timeouts of data types and all the rest ....
Perhaps it makes sense for you to upload data from HANA to files and then upload them to tm1
