RuleLoadFromFile

Post by Martin Ryan »

When you use the TI function RuleLoadFromFile, is it the same as writing the rule and hitting save? I.e. do the feeders get processed?

I would assume so from common sense and how long the process takes to run, but the documentation isn't explicit, and you know what Under Siege 2 says about assumptions.

Martin, I tested this some time ago and my recollection is it fired the feeders. Of course you may have a chain of feeders, but you'd know about that.

Yes. If you look at the tm1server message log while running a TI that attaches a rule to a cube then you will see the "Computing feeders for cube" and "Done computing feeders for cube" lines in the log.
